History Jaguar Club Greece
Long ago on March 2008 when Alex and Aza Holis wanted to reestablish the authentic beauty of their XK150DHC, decided to fly to England in order to visit the Jaguar Heritage Trust at Coventry. There they managed to get into the private archives and examine the precious documents still written by hand. They met and still are in touch with expert Jaguar restorers and specialists as «Guy Broad», «CMC and «CKL». They also met the well-known Judge of various Concourse of Elegance Mr. Brian Ekin to discuss with him secret details to make their car an authentic example of perfection.
During their discovery trip, they found the way to meet the famous editor and author of many fundamental Jaguar books: Mr. Philip Porter who was and still is the President of the Jaguar XK Club and E Type Club.
The idea for the creation of the Jaguar Club of Greece began taking shape a few months later in August 2008 when Philip Porter appointed Alexandre Holis as the XK Representative to Greece.
Later on, Philip asked him to represent the E-type Club as well and this nomination convinced Alex to also buy and restore to perfection a 1961 Series I E Type ‘flat floor’ Roadster.
In 2014, Alex and his wife Aza began organizing tours and meetings in Greece for their Jaguar friends. After 14 successful XK and E-type Club touristic, gastronomic and cultural adventures in Greece and Italy, they finally put the initial idea into practice and at the end of December 2018 founded the Jaguar Club of Greece and Alex was also elected as its President.
On January 2019 the Club was officially introduced as new member of the Hellenic Federation E.O.F.I.L.P.A (member of F.I.V.A.)
The purpose of the Jaguar Club of Greece is that owners of classic and new Jaguar cars can enjoy together the pleasure of running their wild engines on the sunny roads of the land of the Gods.
It will also allow young Jaguar owners to discover and appreciate the extraordinary historical masterpieces of this glorious make and encourage them to take the baton in the race towards the conservation of the incredible Jaguar automotive heritage.
